The spoken lesson

"Hair grows from the scalp and can be straight, wavy, curly, coiled, thick, fine, long, short, styled, covered, or absent. Every kind deserves gentle care. A caregiver washes and rinses the hair, keeps cleanser away from the eyes, and detangles slowly without painful pulling. Nails protect the ends of fingers and toes. Dirt can collect around them, so hands and nail edges are washed carefully. A caregiver uses clean tools to trim nails safely. Children do not use clippers or scissors alone. Gentle hair care, clean nails, and caregiver-controlled tools help protect the body." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Represent natural hair diversity and culturally varied care methods respectfully. Avoid "good hair," whitening, straightening superiority, beauty scoring, or nail-decoration marketing.

Pause, point, name what you notice, and connect the idea to something familiar in your child's day. Repetition, a calm voice, shared attention and dependable care matter more than finishing quickly.
