Clear and child-first

Terms of Use

These terms keep the portal free, educational, respectful and safe. By using KidsFirstKnowledge, an adult visitor agrees to use it in that spirit.

1. Educational purpose

KidsFirstKnowledge provides general early-childhood educational material for shared use by a child and a responsible adult. It is not childcare, medical care, diagnosis, therapy, emergency guidance or a substitute for professional advice. Development varies; adults must use judgment appropriate to the individual child, environment, culture and circumstances.

2. Adult responsibility

A parent, guardian, educator or caregiver must supervise use, control audio playback, interpret lesson material and decide whether an activity is appropriate. Do not leave a young child alone with a device because a lesson page is open. Stop any activity that causes discomfort, fatigue, distress or a safety concern.

3. Emergency and health matters

Do not rely on the portal during an emergency. Seek local emergency services or a qualified professional when a child may be injured, ill, in danger or in need of individual assessment. Food, movement, water, outdoor, hygiene and safety examples must be adapted for allergies, abilities, choking risks, medical needs and local guidance.

4. Free and noncommercial access

The public portal is offered without charge, advertising or registration. Access may be changed, suspended or discontinued when necessary for security, maintenance, accuracy, legal compliance or project stewardship. No promise is made that every feature or device voice will always be available.

5. Acceptable use

You may access and share links to the lessons for personal, family and ordinary educational use. You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with availability, inject harmful code, scrape at a harmful rate, misrepresent content as professional diagnosis, remove ownership or image-credit notices, or use the child-focused material to exploit, profile, manipulate or endanger a child.

6. Intellectual property and attribution

The portal's original text, curriculum selection, design, code, photographs, visual treatments, logos and branding are protected works belonging to or used by the relevant Bach Foundation projects. Visible watermarks, metadata and credits must remain intact. The name KidsFirstKnowledge and its visual identity may not be used to imply endorsement. Rights in cited third-party names or linked destinations remain with their owners.

7. Accuracy, translations and accessibility

We aim for clear, practical and age-appropriate information and review content over time. Educational knowledge, terminology and guidance can change, and errors may occur. Language editions may be released and reviewed at different times; the original English curriculum is authoritative when wording differs. Device speech, pronunciation, browser support and accessibility behavior can vary.

8. External websites

Links to KidsFirstClass, EducationByMom, EduLabs and bach.net are provided for project context. External websites operate under their own terms and policies. A link does not transfer responsibility for content or services beyond KidsFirstKnowledge.

9. Disclaimers and responsibility

The portal is provided on an “as available” basis for general education. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the project makes no guarantee of uninterrupted availability, universal suitability or a particular learning outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. Adults remain responsible for real-world decisions and supervision.

10. Governance and changes

KidsFirstKnowledge is a nonprofit, noncommercial educational initiative among The Bach Foundation projects. Project context is available at bach.net. These terms may be revised to reflect service, safety, legal or governance changes. Continued use after publication of revised terms means the visitor accepts the revised version.
