"We can compare objects in different ways. To compare length, line up the starting ends. The object that reaches farther is longer. To compare height, place both objects on the same level surface. We can also compare width and thickness. One object may be longer but thinner. Another may be shorter but wider. To measure, place equal-sized units end to end without gaps or overlaps. We compare one feature at a time and check carefully. A prediction is an idea to test, not something to feel bad about. Line up the start, compare one feature, and check carefully."
