The spoken lesson

"The Sun gives Earth light and warmth, but too much sunlight can hurt skin and eyes. Stay in shade when your caregiver directs you. Wear clothing that covers the body and a hat that shades the face, ears, and neck. Suitable sunglasses can help protect the eyes. A caregiver may apply sunscreen to exposed skin according to the product instructions and local health guidance. Sunscreen does not replace shade or clothing. Drink when your caregiver offers water and take rest breaks. Never look directly at the Sun. Shade, cover, protect, drink, and rest." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Represent varied skin tones accurately and equally. Avoid extreme heat imagery, tanning messages, product promotion, or colour changes used to frighten children.

Make it real

Pause, point, name what you notice, and connect the idea to something familiar in your child's day. Repetition, a calm voice, shared attention and dependable care matter more than finishing quickly.
