"Open means spread apart or allowing us to see inside. Look at the caregiver's hands. They are open. Now the hands come together. They are closed. A book can be open so we can see its pages. The book can close when reading is finished. A safe container may open and close when a caregiver uses it. Some doors and drawers can pinch fingers, so they belong to adults. Caregiver, open your hands. Open. Now close them gently. Closed. Open and closed describe two different positions." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use slow hinge and hand animations. Do not simulate slamming. Include no abrupt sounds, trapped-finger animations, or failure states.
