"The lungs are two spongy organs inside the chest. Air enters through the nose or mouth and travels down the windpipe. The airways divide into smaller tubes that end in tiny air sacs. Oxygen moves from the air sacs into the blood. Carbon dioxide moves from the blood into the air sacs and leaves when you breathe out. A large muscle called the diaphragm helps move air in and out. The brain adjusts breathing automatically. Breathing becomes faster during active movement and settles during rest. Clean air protects the lungs. Breathe in oxygen, breathe out carbon dioxide." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use slow lung expansion and contraction. Avoid breath-holding games, forceful blowing, respiratory scoring, alarming sounds, or diagnostic simulations.
