"A book has a cover and pages. Inside the book, there may be pictures, words, stories, facts, or ideas. A caregiver can open the book and turn one page at a time. The child can look, point, listen, and make sounds. Books can teach us about animals, people, places, feelings, and imaginary stories. Different languages may place words on pages in different ways. We use clean hands, turn pages gently, and put the book back when reading is finished. Open a book and discover an idea together." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use a realistic board-book interface with large page controls. Do not imitate rapid page flipping, add advertising, or test reading ability. Include text alternatives for all illustrations.
