Help the child understand that a towel is made from absorbent material that takes in water. Towels are used to dry clean hands, faces, hair, bodies, dishes, or safe household surfaces, with different towels used for different purposes.
"A towel is made from material that can absorb water. After handwashing, a clean towel helps make the hands dry. A larger bath towel can dry the body. A small washcloth may help with gentle washing. Kitchen towels and cleaning cloths have different jobs and should not be used on the body. Press or pat gently instead of rubbing too hard. After use, the towel is placed where it can dry. We never cover a child's face or wrap a towel around the neck. A towel absorbs water and helps things dry." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use realistic fabric textures and clear towel purposes. Do not include towel-snapping games, face covering, neck wrapping, sleep-space towels, or hygiene shaming.
