The spoken lesson
"An ecosystem contains living organisms and the non-living conditions around them. Plants, animals, fungi, and microbes interact with light, water, air, temperature, soil, minerals, and weather. One species in an area forms a population. Interacting populations form a community. The community and its physical environment form an ecosystem. Energy moves through feeding relationships, while water, carbon, nitrogen, and other matter cycle through organisms and the environment. Ecosystems change through seasons, disturbance, migration, succession, human activity, and climate. Humans are part of ecosystems too. An ecosystem is a changing network of living organisms and environmental conditions." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Show dynamic ecosystems and humans as participants. Avoid perfect untouched-nature imagery, predator villainy, wildlife handling, or implying ecosystem boundaries are always fixed.
