"Energy is a measurable property involved when things move, heat, shine, vibrate, or change. Energy may be associated with motion, position, elastic materials, temperature, chemicals, electricity, light, or sound. Energy can move between objects and change form. Food's chemical energy supports body movement and heat. A battery may provide electrical energy that becomes light, sound, motion, and thermal energy. A raised ball has gravitational potential energy that becomes kinetic energy as it rolls downward. Energy is not created from nothing or destroyed in ordinary processes. Energy moves and changes form whenever systems change." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Show energy through observable transfers and transformations, not as glowing magic. Avoid unsafe springs, electrical access, fire, "energy tank" myths, or one energy source portrayed as impact-free.
