This language pathway is active. The authoritative curriculum lesson is currently presented in its original English while its reviewed local-language edition is prepared.
Help the child identify the arms and elbows and understand that the arms move from the shoulders while the elbows allow the arms to bend and straighten.
"Your arms begin at your shoulders and continue to your hands. Each arm has an elbow in the middle. The elbow helps the arm bend and straighten. Arms can reach for a safe object. They can carry something light, push a large soft toy, pull carefully, or offer a gentle hug when the other person welcomes it. Arms are not for hitting or hurting. Caregivers never pull or lift a child by the arms or elbows. Stretch the arms out gently. Bend at the elbows. Arms move, and elbows bend." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use realistic, slow movement. Avoid hitting demonstrations, strength scoring, forceful pulling, or perfect imitation requirements.
Pause, point, name what you notice, and connect the idea to something familiar in your child's day. Repetition, a calm voice, shared attention and dependable care matter more than finishing quickly.
