The spoken lesson

"A chair has a seat that supports a person while sitting. A table is a stable raised surface that can hold food, books, toys, or work materials. A caregiver helps a young child sit safely when needed. A highchair uses its safety restraint. Chairs and tables are not for climbing, rocking, or jumping. A table may hold a cup during a meal or a book during reading. Hot, sharp, breakable, and heavy objects stay under adult control. Chair for sitting. Table for holding. We use both carefully." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use realistic furniture and safe posture. Avoid furniture advertisements, interior-design promotion, competitive sitting tasks, or visual scenes that normalize climbing.

Make it real

Pause, point, name what you notice, and connect the idea to something familiar in your child's day. Repetition, a calm voice, shared attention and dependable care matter more than finishing quickly.
