"Media are channels and created products that carry information, ideas, entertainment, persuasion, and records. News is reporting intended to inform people about events or public issues. Journalists gather information through observation, interviews, documents, research, and data. They should verify important claims, distinguish reporting from opinion or advertising, and correct significant errors. Every report selects details, sources, images, and a frame, so it cannot show everything. A source may be useful and still have a limited viewpoint or interest. Media carry messages; journalism gathers and verifies information for public reporting." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use fictional media and one non-political local event. Avoid live feeds, sensational alerts, current news, graphic imagery, news-brand imitation, or one outlet presented as automatically trustworthy.
