Help the child understand that health care is teamwork. Doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and other trained professionals have different but connected responsibilities.
"Health care is teamwork. A doctor listens, examines, helps identify illness or injury, and recommends care. A nurse checks health, provides treatment, teaches families, and supports comfort and safety. A dentist cares for teeth, gums, the mouth, and jaw. A pharmacist prepares, supplies, or checks medicines and explains how caregivers should use them safely. Other trained professionals also help. Their titles and responsibilities may differ between countries. During care, professionals explain what they are doing, and caregivers share important information. Health professionals use training and teamwork to help people." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use varied genders, cultures, abilities, clothing, and workplaces. Avoid uniform-based trust assumptions, professional hierarchy, frightening procedures, medicine promotion, or real patient information.
Pause, point, name what you notice, and connect the idea to something familiar in your child's day. Repetition, a calm voice, shared attention and dependable care matter more than finishing quickly.
