"Earth travels around the Sun once each year. Earth also spins around an imaginary axis, and that axis is tilted. As Earth moves around the Sun, one hemisphere sometimes tilts more toward the Sun and receives more direct light and longer days. The other hemisphere receives less direct light and shorter days. Six months later, the pattern is reversed. This is why the Northern and Southern Hemispheres have opposite seasonal timing. Seasons are not mainly caused by Earth moving closer to the Sun. Different regions experience seasons in different ways. Earth's tilt and orbit change seasonal sunlight." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use accurate tilt and sunlight geometry. Do not show the Sun orbiting Earth, dramatically changing Earth–Sun distance, or four-season stereotypes as universal.
