"Electricity helps lights, appliances, and machines work. Electricity usually cannot be seen, and unsafe electrical parts can cause shock, burns, or fire. Never put fingers, toys, keys, or other objects into a wall socket. Never pull, chew, cut, or play with a cord. Keep electrical devices away from water. If a wire looks broken or lies on the ground outside, stay far away and tell an adult. The caregiver handles plugs and checks equipment. Electricity helps adults. Children stop, stay back, and ask." DESIGN REQUIREMENTS: Use symbolic safety demonstrations only. Never animate an object entering an outlet. Avoid sparks, electric characters, or interactive plug games.
